During these economic times I feel it important to review the resolution of the Great Depression: The New Deal.
What was implemented by the government? Among other things, public works. This provides us with the primary lesson of The Great Depression:
"Helping others helps ourselves."
That quote is mine, by the way. A chicken in every pot will only happen when we determine that, as Americans, we need to stick with each other. This is also the most effective way for us to help the rest of the world.
